Want to fish the beautiful coastline of the Nature Coast?
Fin Action Charters provides inshore fishing out of Steinhatchee, Florida, located in the Big Bend area of the Gulf of Mexico. Depending on the time of year, and following coastal fishing regulations, there are many type of fish that may be caught.
Captain Nita provides for you:
• boat and fuel
• tackle (quality rods, reels, artificial baits)
• fishing license
• ice chests for your catch, food, and beverages
• bottled water
• all US Coast Guard approved equipment
• live bait when necessary
• dry storage for cell phone, camera, wallet, etc.
What you need to bring:
• weather-appropriate clothing
• hat or cap
• sunglasses (polarized lens enhance the view)
• sunscreen (30 SPF+ is recommended)
• food, beverage (please, no glass containers)
• rain suit
• camera (optional)
• ice chest for taking your catch home
Captain Nita’s boat has the following for your safety and convenience:
• dry storage for your belongings
• one cooler for food and drinks
• fish box
• US Coast Guard approved safety gear (for children and adults) type 1 commercial vests
• first aid supplies
• GPS and depth/fish finders
• 2 VHF radios
• quality rods and reels
$100 deposit is required for a confirmed booked date and nonrefundable. Remaining balance is due at trip’s end. Cash, credit card, personal or corporate checks are accepted for payment.
Gratuities for the captain is not included in the fees, yet are very much appreciated.
What can you catch?
The time of the year, tides and weather conditions dictate what you may catch. A variety of fish can be caught in depths from 18 inches to 12 feet.
The variety of fish you may catch include: Spotted Sea Trout, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Cobia, Sand Trout, Shark, Black Sea Bass and Sheepshead. Spotted Sea Trout season is year-round.
